Don’t you all just love a good entry way? It’s one of the first things people see when they enter your home, and first impressions are everything. Not only is it the first impression for many of your guests, but it may be the only impression for people who only come to your door. Call me vain for wanting the pizza delivery guy to know I have mad interior design skills, but if I’m being honest.. I do.
I like to call my design style cozy/glam. I don’t know if that’s a term in the design world at all (probably not) but that’s my style. I love mixed metals, anything mirrored, shiny, sparkly, furry, knitted, and in neutral tones.. and my ideal entrance way has a pop of color and some killer abstract art work. Keep reading to see which entrance way is mine. It’s one of my favorite spots in the house! 🙂
So let’s get down to business, shall we?
This beautiful entrance way is via Jacquelyn Clark for Style Me Pretty and I just had to share it first, because I’ve been swooning over it for far too long now. It’s got everything.. An incredibly beautiful piece of abstract art, that also gives it some color, the mirrored console, and faux florals and greenery. I am in love!
This entry way from Elle Decor is another example of what a large scale abstract painting can bring to the table. I would just want to sit on the bench, feeling all artsy and fancy all day.
This look from Heather Scott Home is a high fashion lovers dream. The bold wallpaper, mixed with the art, and the patterned bench just works.
This space by Lonny is dark and moody and I love it. I know acrylic furniture was all the rage about 2 years ago, but I never got off that bandwagon.
This space by The Pink Pagoda is simple and proves that you don’t need much for a big impact. The set of artwork and the light fixture against the fresh, crisp white walls is stunning. And from what I can see, that rug is really working in this space, although that probably isn’t considered part of the entry way.
I may be going over board with the entry ways featuring large scale abstract art, but I just can’t help myself. How gorgeous is this entry way by Veranda? That art, with the vintage looking dresser and upholstered chair is stunning.
I’m gonna be honest. I’ve tried more than a couple times to recreate a paint like that one (on a smaller scale) and it never looks quite right. But seriously… isn’t it perfect?? Thanks to Decor Pad for sharing.
These colors give me all the feels. Seriously, the gold, the soft pink and purple mixed with the animal print has my heart doing cartwheels. Thanks to Southern Curls and Pearls for sharing.
Everything ever posted on The Glitter Guide is fabulous, including this entrance way. Again with the gold, soft pinks, and animal print. Love!
I’ve never been brave enough to put up a bold wallpaper, but I admire the people that do. When it’s done well, it’s fantastic, and this entrance way has done it very well. It’s another high fashion lovers dream. Thanks to Domino for sharing.
This entrance way by Home and Interiors is simple, but beautiful. I love me a good dark wall, and it really works in the space with the gold contrasting against it.
Can we please take a second to talk about the bench and that rug? Holy glamour. It’s all so beautiful. Thanks to Design Indulgences for sharing.
Thanks to House Beautiful for sharing this space. I love the mirror combined with the stools and faux floral.
Proof that black and white doesn’t have to be boring. This space by Style at Home is so beautiful with all of the white, the artwork, and the furry bench.
And this last space is mine. I’m so in love with the mirrored artwork, that I ended up getting another one for my dining room. I also love the mercury glass vases and mirrored console table. What do you all think?
